Educational Information Only
From the Heart Vet provides general information about animal care. We are not a veterinary practice and do not offer consultations, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions or emergency services. Using this website does not create a veterinarian–client–patient relationship.
Individual Veterinary Care
General content cannot account for an individual animal’s history, health, environment or needs. Always consult a qualified veterinarian about your animal’s health, diet, behaviour or treatment, and never delay seeking care because of something you have read here.
If your animal is injured, struggling to breathe, collapsing, bleeding heavily, or you believe it has eaten something toxic, contact a veterinarian or emergency veterinary service immediately.
Regional Differences
Laws, licensing rules, approved products, medicines and recommended practices differ between countries and regions. Check local regulations — especially before keeping exotic animals, farm animals or wildlife — and follow the advice of local professionals.
Wildlife & Exotic Species
Some animals are protected by law or require a permit to keep. Our wildlife content focuses on observing and coexisting with wild animals, not keeping them. If you find an injured or orphaned wild animal, contact a local wildlife rescue, rehabilitator or veterinarian.
Professional Review Claims
Content is not automatically reviewed by a veterinarian. When an article has been professionally reviewed, the reviewer and their relevant credentials are identified on that article.
Products & External Links
Any mention of a product type, brand or service is for general information and is not a guarantee of its suitability for your animal. External websites are managed by their own owners; a link is not an endorsement of every product, service or opinion they offer.
Limitation Of Liability
We work to keep information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that every article is complete or current. You are responsible for how you use the information on this website. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or harm arising from reliance on it.
